What finish do you want to leave?

Start with your clipper's fitting, then choose the cutting length and width for the work. A5 and VUNRO D-Series blades use different attachment systems.

Closer finishesCheck each blade's stated cutting length. A #10 A5 blade leaves 1.5 mm; shorter specialist lengths need appropriate experience.
Body finishesA #7F leaves 3.2 mm, a #5F leaves 6.4 mm, and a #4F leaves 9.5 mm. Coat preparation and texture also affect the finished outline.
Fuller finishesA #3F leaves 13 mm. For guard combs, check the compatible base blade and guard set rather than relying on colour or blade number alone.

Choose the blade family that fits your kit

Standard and wide blades cover different working areas. Steel, ceramic and Blue Steel options still require cleaning, lubrication and temperature checks throughout the groom.

Care, cutters and good habits

Prepare a clean, dry, brushed coat before clipping. Stop for tight matting, sore skin or discomfort and seek appropriate help. Brush debris away, oil as directed, inspect the cutter and socket, and check blade temperature throughout use.

A replacement moving cutter is a maintenance part for a compatible blade assembly, not a complete blade. If you are unsure about the fitting, width or intended finish, ask VUNRO before you choose.
